1. It is awkward on a phone
Open your site on your own phone. If you have to zoom to read text, buttons are hard to tap, or you need to scroll sideways, most of your visitors are having the same experience — and leaving.
2. It takes more than a few seconds to load
Slow pages lose visitors before they see anything. Large uncompressed images and piled-on scripts are the usual causes, and both are fixable.
3. You get visits but no enquiries
If people arrive but nobody calls, messages or fills the form, the site is not doing its job. Usually the offer is unclear, or contacting you takes too much effort.
4. It looks like your competitors' old sites
Design standards move. If your site would have looked fine in 2018, customers notice — and they quietly assume the business behind it is dated too.
5. Your business has changed but the site has not
New services, new prices, new areas served — if the website still describes the business of three years ago, it is actively misleading customers.
6. You are embarrassed to share the link
This one is simple. If you hesitate before sending your website to a potential customer, your instinct is telling you something true.
7. Small updates are painful
If changing a phone number or adding a photo requires a developer and a week of waiting, the site is holding your business back. Modern websites are easy to update.
In short
If three or more of these sound familiar, a redesign will pay for itself in enquiries — start with an honest quote.
